What are your current areas of interest related to your practice?

I am very interested in creating an Ayurveda nutrition and cooking program. This program will allow participants to create delicious dishes that offer healing benefits for both the body and mind.

What are your most memorable trips and experiences related to your practice?

Since 2016, I’ve had the privilege of co-leading yoga retreats in India alongside Kelly Fisher. As someone born in India, this country holds a special place in my heart. Whether we’re practicing asanas on green grass, exploring ancient temples, or standing mesmerized in front of the Taj Mahal, each retreat has been a transformative and unforgettable journey.

What to expect in class: Rimmi believes in creating a safe space for her students where one can practice and explore without fear of judgment. She strives to tailor her lessons to the needs of the individual student and offers classes that are a combination of yoga, philosophy, alignment, meditation, and personal empowerment.

Rimmi has been teaching yoga for over 22 years, with the past 20 dedicated to teaching at the Yoga Center of Columbia. Rimmi spent the first 20 years of her life in India, surrounded by Indian philosophy and traditions. Over the years, she has studied the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Zen Buddhism, Vipasana meditation, Ayurveda and Sanskrit. For Rimmi, yoga is more than a series of physical poses; it is the science of attaining inner well-being. Rimmi's other passions are traveling, cooking and leading retreats.
