Patty Iammetteo
she/her
RYT 500, Occupational Therapist
Besides teaching yoga, how do you spend your time?
I am an artist and a nature lover. I painted the birds in studio 3, which was such an honor. These paintings of birds are like a bird guide book for some of the species we have in Howard County, so look for them in your area.
What have you learned or how have you grown since becoming a YCC instructor?
I love how when we all practice together, our sense of community is strengthened. We all benefit from the mutual support we give one another. This is such a caring community and I love teaching. Thank you, all of you!
What to expect in class: Patty’s yoga classes are informed by her life-long study of movement and function to provide her students with the “just right” challenge to strengthen, stretch and balance their bodies and mindset. She believes in the healing power of laughter and brings her sense of humor and lightness to her classes.
Patty has been a teacher at the Yoga Center of Columbia for over three years, and has been practicing yoga regularly for over fifteen years. As an Occupational Therapist with over 35 years of experience, an artist, and a devotee of the outdoor world, Patty truly embodies the values of the mind-body connection.
