Studies show the average office worker sits for about 10 hours per day. This total quickly increases to over 15 hours per day adding in time for meals, commutes, and watching TV. Medical researchers have linked prolonged sitting with an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer as well as muscle degeneration, joint problems and overall posture problems.
Introducing “Un-Desk Yoga.” We will be identifying yoga postures, stretches, and strengthening exercises to implement during the work day as well as ways to set gentle reminders to move. You will discover how to “Un-Desk” your body. The workshop includes a handout to keep at your desk for quick reference and reminders.
All levels of yoga welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing.
