(Sundays, Jan. 14 - Feb. 11) For women trying to conceive, either through natural family planning methods or assisted reproductive therapies (such as intra-uterine insemination (IUI) or in-vitro fertilization (IVF)). No prior yoga experience is necessary. Women should check with their health care professional prior to registration.
This mini-session explores how yoga can help relax and restore the body, calm the mind, and lift our spirits. Classes will include breathing exercises, gentle yoga postures, and guided relaxation to enhance fertility by increasing blood flow to the pelvis, nourishing the reproductive organs, and reducing stress and anxiety. Discussion on nutrition and fertility friendly exercise will also be included. Yogic philosophy, a positive perspective, and a nurturing community help students find peace in their own fertility journey, and call home the family they were meant to have.
Classes are based on Tracy’s study of yoga, fertility, and the female body, her personal yoga practice, and her own challenges with fertility. *Students will be provided with weekly handouts for home practice and lifestyle suggestions.
