Pilates And Bone Density with Karen Best

Weight bearing exercise is known to increase bone density, and in this workshop we incorporate various weight bearing techniques into a Pilates workshop. Leave feeling refreshed and stronger, with a much greater understanding of how Pilates can help your body and your mind for a long time to come. Part information and part workout, you will leave with deeper knowledge on how to:

  • Improve core strength and stability
  • Prevent and reduce back pain
  • Stabilize common injury areas relating to core: including knees, hips, back etc
  • Do resistance Pilates with bands for arms, shoulders, hips and legs
  • Practice resistance Pilates with ankle weights, specifically to target hips and low back supporters
  • Do many of the standing Pilates exercises, with hand weights as optional
