[Tuesdays: July 19 - Aug. 9] When you fuse yoga, an eastern Indian philosophy created thousands of years ago with Pilates, a discipline created in the 1920's by German-born Joseph Pilates, you have 'Yogalates'. Discover how Pilates, with its techniques of building a strong core, complements a yoga practice. We'll combine the floor exercises of Pilates with Hatha Yoga Level 1 poses. Breathing and relaxation techniques will be incorporated. Strengthen your mind and body by incorporating both disciplines with an emphasis on postural alignment and core stability. Both yoga and Pilates props will be incorporated. No previous experience with yoga or Pilates is required.
